San Diego Harbor Safety Committee — Mandated by OSPRA 1990 (S.B. 2040)

Appointed by the State of California to serve as Chair of the Committee. Committee members include appointed representatives of the U.S. Navy, U.S.C.G., Port District, commercial shipping, harbor pilots, tug operators, labor, and environmental organizations. 1997-2003

Yacht Captain
63′ Tollycraft motor yacht “REALITY”. East Coast, Florida, Bahamas, Chesapeake Bay, Vancouver to San Diego. W. Coast of Mexico. 1999-2002

Yacht Captain
Vancouver through the Panama Canal, Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, South China Sea, Adriatic Sea, Bahamas, Florida to the Chesapeake Bay. Various vessels 42 to 130 feet in length. 1978-2003

Charter Business Manager and Captain

Four new Ocean Alexander 48′ — 60′ motor yachts. Calif. & Mexico 1997-1999

Captain and Manager
Celebration Cruise Line, San Diego. 110′ vessel –150 passengers. Hired and trained staff and crew of forty for food/beverage service and to competently execute abandon ship, fire, and man-overboard drills as per Coast Guard regulations and inspections. 1992-1993

Executive Director and Captain
65′ motor yacht USCG certified to carry 49 passengers San Diego Bay and offshore. Managed, hired, and trained crew; operated and maintained yacht, Solely responsible for sales, marketing, and event management. Increased revenue an average of 30% per year over a ten year period. 1987-1997

Marine Consultant
Project Coordinator for Harbor Island Marina Association. Acted as liaison to the Port of San Diego and marina construction consultant. 1985

Director, Ship Operations
Developed cruise itinerary, examined a prospective ship in operation in the Mediterranean. Investigated all phases of operating a 5200 gross ton cruise ship. Negotiated terms of purchase, and obtained financing. 1984

Yacht Importer & Distributor
Imported new 38′ — 90′ yachts. Inspected production in Hong Kong, managed shipping overseas of yachts, sales, commissioning, and delivery. 1981 – 1983
